Queens of Botswana zeigt drei sehr unterschiedliche Frauen, deren Leben durchdrungen ist von ihrer Liebe zum Heavy Metal, von ihrem Engagement bei den Marok (wie sich die Metalszene nennt) und von ihrem Bedürfnis, mehr zu sein. Wir folgen ihnen eine Woche lang auf ihrer Reise zu einem Festival in Gaborone, aber das Festival ist nicht das Hauptereignis. Stattdessen dreht sich alles um Queen Ludo, Queen Florah und Queen Gloria.
Queens of Botswana shows three very different women whose lives have been touched by their love for Heavy Metal, engaged by their involvement with the Marok–as the metal scene calls itself–and infused with their need to be more. We follow them for a week on their way to a festival in Gaborone, but the show is not the main event. Its all about Queen Ludo, Queen Florah and Queen Gloria.
